Microsoft helps us start the school year off right




On Thursday, September 13 Microsoft partnered with Chester County Futures for a back to school night at Coatesville High School.

Ninth through eleventh grade Passport to College students and their parents heard presentations on the curriculum for the year from the respective Coordinators for their grade level. Nettie from Open Hearth Partners shared information in regards to their financial advising programs that students may be eligible for, including a college savings program.

Microsoft, known for their technology related products had different stations for students to explore. Stations included basic coding for a robot to move and speak, 3-D paint, Word tricks and tips, and PowerPoint information. Students were able to interact with representatives from Microsoft and perform tasks at each station that they can utilize during the school year.

There was also a surprise gift from Microsoft for all students who attended. Students were given backpacks with school supplies like binders, writing utensils, composition notebooks, and snacks.
